Hello, Roihuvuori resident!

The Roihuvuori Citizen Science -community (Tiederoihu) of Roihuvuori -seura (Roihuvuori residents’ association) collects information about places that the residents of Roihuvuori find meaningful. First of all, we use information to increase understanding and knowledge about what kinds of places we value in our environment, what kinds of places we find important and in what ways and what kinds of places should be especially cherished. Secondly, with the help of the collected information, we are able to convey the views of residents about their living environment to urban planning.

Tell your own story about a place in Roihuvuori that you find important: it can be a short description and justification or a story about an event in a place or places related to everyday life and the whole of life. You can add a picture you took if you want.

The information you provide is processed anonymously, meaning you cannot be identified from the material. Write your text in such a way that you cannot be identified. However, you can use a nickname if you wish. We follow data protection and social media ethical practices.

Tiederoihu-community handles the data and uses them for communication, knowledge production and conveys the views of the residents for urban planning.

We are organizing an event on November 27, 2024, 5.30 PM at Roihuvuori library, and processing the data collection harvest is part of the program (in Finnish). The title of the event is Tiederoihu: Tietoa ja osallisuutta: asuinympäristön merkitys.
